Automating Geocortex Essentials Site deployment from Dev to Test and Prod environments
I have some automated tasks in place which can copy a Geocortex Site from our Development environment to Test and Production Environments. Embedded service Urls, PortalId for Permissions etc are replaced succesfully when copied.
Essentials is integrated with Portal 10.5.1.
This is working successfully, excepte for encrypted content contained within the <CachedServiceData /> tag. This seems to be generated by Essentials Manager only, and in some circumstances contains Dev environment information that causes the viewer to fail to load when the site is copied to Test and Production. For these cases, I have to open the site and Save it again in Test and Prod to refresh the encrypted content of <CachedServiceData />
Is it suitable to remove <CachedServiceData /> from the site.xml, or how can it be refreshed outside of Geocortex Manager?
Is this also duplicating what the site cache folder is doing?
or is there config embedded in <CachedServiceData />?
thanks,

Hi Damian,
Yes, the data in the <CachedServiceData> tags is safe to remove. It will be regenerated by Manager as needed.0
