Use Workflow SQL Query Unsafe in Form Runtime Modifications?

I'm developing a workflow that takes text input to get geometry. I'd like to provide suggestions as the user types, but the non-spatial database that has the project list has no services I can tap into. I have all the configuration info I need for the SQL Query Unsafe, but I don't see a way to give real time feedback to the user, so a project can be picked from a list.

 

Might anyone be able to outline an approach for me? This would be much better than searching for something that might have been mistyped after form submission.

  You can define a search table and use it as the source for an AutoComplete box.

  t took me a while to understand that I needed to assign a field to the QueryDisplayOutputField, but I now have hints that appear after the 4th character has been typed.
