How to select a basemap; set basemap visibility

Hi, is there a way to select a basemap from within a workflow? I often use Set Layer Visibility in my workflow, but I have a basemap with a transparency slider, and I can't figure out if there's a way to set its visibility. Currently I'm guiding the user to select it manually, from the basemap selector, but that's in no way user friendly. Any ideas? Thanks!

  Hi Yannick,

   

  You should be able to use the Set Layer Property activity, using the opacity property on the basemap. In the GW5 - Get and Set Layer Property sample workflow, I've used this property on a map service to set the opacity temporarily to 0.4, then revert it back to 1.0.

  Hi Stefan,

  Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm afraid I didn't make myself clear; I have a basemap transparency slider group which I want to select as current basemap, using a workflow. It is important that the slider becomes visible, so the user can slide through different basemaps himself.

  I haven't tested this, but I would try using the RunCommand activity with "SelectBaseMap" per
