Creating form application on Geocortex

Is it possible to customize a  Geocortexd web app such that UI is similar to a regular windows form app and have map function only as an additional feature that can be launched if needed.

  Hi Dilip,

   

  It's certainly possible to do this, but I expect it would require a lot of work with custom CSS and graphics to make the UI consistent with a Windows desktop app.  There would also be some implicitly lost functionality (drag-and-drop, copy-paste, etc) that uses the browser behavior rather than the Windows desktop, which may be a problem for your users.  

   

  It's also possible to hide the map control; however, the Site would still need at least one map to load into the map control, and all of our existing design work assumes that a map is available and visible.  I expect doing so would uncover many issues that would be difficult to address given the way the viewer and Essentials is designed.
