Use Autocomplete offline

I have a workflow that I want to use in GMAF offline. It has a Display Form with an autocomplete box in it that uses a query layer.

This does not seem to work when I take GMAF offline.

Is the autocomplete activity usable offline ? If so what am I doing wrong ? 

Does the URL syntax for the query activity need to change for the autocomplete.

The URL looks like this

  Hi Chris,

   

  Autocomplete is usable offline if the layer that it queries is stored for offline use. That means that you need to make sure:

  • The layer is added to the site
  • The url for the layer in the Query Layer activity is the same as Essentials Manager (eg, no switching domain names, no switching from /MapServer to /FeatureServer)
  • The layer is stored for offline use in GMAF. Watch out for restricting the extent when configuring your offline maps, this will restrict the number of features that are stored for offline use (therefore restricting autocomplete's search)

   

  For testing, make sure to confirm that the workflow works online. Also test the same text search in either Global Search or the Query tool offline. That's a good way to narrow down whether an issue is related to the workflow or to the layer not being stored offline as needed.

  Finally, I've seen issues in GMAF when your Query Layer's "Output Fields" list has spaces between the fields (eg "objectid, name" instead of "objectid,name"). Just to be safe, remove any spacing you have there.
