Captured Geometry throwing an error
I have a simple workflow to capture the user's click, but it won't load. It throws this error:
There was a workflow error running activity: Cannot read property 'pauseSnapping' of undefined
If I remove the "Default Geometry Type", the activity loads, but I can't click on anything. And if I click OK, it throws error that nothing was clicked. This is Essentials 4.10 and GVH 2.11 and Workflow Designer 4.10. The workflow came from this post: https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCForum?id=906f2000000k9v8AAA

Similar situation here. We have several workflows working prior to upgrading to GE 4.10 and GVH 2.11. The workflows now throws "Cannot read property 'pauseSnapping' of undefined" when executed. Seems like the error is connected to capture geometry. 0 -
Can Latitude confirm this is a bug? 0 -
Hi everyone,
We don't have a bug filed for this, so I will file a new one.
Are these workflows startup workflows? If not, how does the user start them?

It's launched from the I Want To... Menu 0 -
We run the the workflows from the toolbar. 0 -
Hi Everyone,
I've been unable to reproduce this issue; could you email me your workflow to take a look (sschweigert@latitudegeo.com)?
Was the workflow created in a previous version of Essentials and was working prior to upgrading?
The error message appears to be originating from the Snapping module; have you configured any settings for snapping or removed the module entirely?
Thanks, Stefan0 -
You can get the workflow from this link. I used this.

At first I thought that might be the problem, but i created a new workflow in new essentials and added the activity then (I did not open an existing workflow). Not sure where the snapping module is that I should remove? In the viewer.js?0 -
I have the same problem. I recently upgraded to GE 4.10 HTML 2.11 and the workflows stopped working (Cannot read property 'pauseSnapping' of undefined) . I did not configure any settings for the sapping module. But I noticed that the problem only occur in upgraded sites and not in new sites I created from scratch 0 -
Update: In my case it's not related to upgraded sites/viewers. My tests shows that if I have a site with a secure mapservice in it - then the Capture Geometry workflow activity throws an exception if I do not have the correct permissions to access the mapservice. If I then delete the secure mapservice from my site then the Capture Geometry is working again. 0 -
Update: in case I just had, the issue was related to a map service not available in a layer catalog that the site referenced. Removing the down site from the layer catalog and clearing the browser cache resolved it.

Can I confirm if this is a bug and that it is being looked at by Latitude? It cripples our workflows that are not even associated with the suspect services. 0 -
Hi Justin,
I can confirm this is a bug that has been filed (BUG 22240) and the priority of it is set to high.

any update on this issue? One of my workflows suddenly gives this error randomly.
" There was a workflow error running activity: Cannot read property 'pauseSnapping' of undefined"
The workflow is to create a polygon, capture attributes and save it to a feature service. I use "DisplayCaptureGeometry" activity. I don't see any property for snapping in this activity.
I cannot figure out which activity causes this error. The error appears randomly, sometimes work fine but sometimes throws errors.
any walk around solution?0 -
Hi Wayne,
We are using f GCX 4.9.1/GVH 2.11.2 and recently we upgraded ArcGIS server to 10.6.1 and now all our workflow are showing this error :
There was a workflow error running activity: Cannot read property 'pauseSnapping' of undefined.
You mentioned this bug BUG 22240 has been fixed, which version of GCX or GVH do we have to get to have this fixed?
Thanks,
Dibya0 -
Hi Dibya,
The bug has been filed, not fixed. It has been scheduled to be fixed for the 2.13 version of the HTML5 viewer. It may be related to a map service that is not reachable. I would recommend "reloading" your site on the Sites page and trying to load it again, you may get a warning about what map service is causing the issue.
Regards,
Wayne0
