Configure the legend in print template to include only the layers which appear in the map extent
Hi Folks,
I’m wondering if there any way to configure the print template legend to include only the layers appear in a specific map extent without turning on / off the layers. Or at least if I can split the legend in a print template into several columns? _img_ alt="User-added image" src="https://latitudegeo--c.na53.content.force.com/servlet/rtaImage?eid=906f2000000Xbty&feoid=Body&refid=0EMf2000000YAnZ" _/_img_ Any ideas? Cheers, Rawan

Hi,
Use the code gallery sample below, it should do exactly what you want.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for replying, but I tried this code before and it’s only remove the layer that you setup in the text file which I can use the manager to remove these layers from the legend.
What I’m looking for is to show only the layers in the recent map extent, I need only to show the layers that appear in that extent or at least to have the legend in two column instead of one.
Cheers,

Hi Mike K.,
It sounds like the solution you suggested might be helpful in my scenario where I would like to allow the user to designate which layers to include in the legend. I currently have to turn them off in Essentials at the user's request. I know this is an old thread and when I follow the link above it leads me to the old support center but not the code I am looking for.
Thanks
Mike U.
