User Denied Geolocation Warning Text Location
Anyone know where to edit the warning result box for when a user gets "User Denied Location" for HTML5 site on a tablet and phone?
There are 2 UX/UI experiences on this that we have isolated that cause trouble and the user needs better feedback when using for example "Follow Me":
- Android - User Prompted to allow GPS to connect to the site...Block or Allow
- If blocked by accident user has to go into Chrome Settings and delete from "site location settings"
- Apple - User not prompted sometimes it just hangs on "finding location" or "User Denied Warning"
- User has to go into "Privacy" -> Location Services -> Safari -> CHANGE DEFAULT FROM "Never" to "While Using App"

Hi Dylan,
You can edit many of the textual prompts and dialogs within the viewer by looking for the string inside a "locale" file. The files are located here -
C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Html5Viewer\Resources\Locales\
but in your case the prompt is not coming from the viewer, it's a browser dialog. In this case you don't have an option to change the dialog. A possible workaround would be to use a workflow to do the task you were doing and attempt to trap the error and display a more user friendly message. Another option is to use a custom code module. Either one would may require more effort than it's worth, you can decide that.
If you want assistance with either one of these options, I would recommend contacting your account manager so they can look into a Professional Services project for you.

Hi,
We also get the message 'User denied geolocation' (when user denies the access to the geolocation), however we use the viewer with Dutch translations.
The message seems to come from the geolocate.js module.
The browser logs says:
So the text in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Html5Viewer\Resources\Locales\ is retrieved, but the wrong part seems to be showed in the modal window. Is there a way to fix this so the translated part can be shown in the modal window to the user? We use html viewer 4.14.4.
