Map Tips" on by default on GCX Manager?

Is there a way to set "Show Map Tips" on by default on GCX Manager while adding any new Map Service or Feature Layers?

  Hi Dibya,

   

  Unfortunately, this is not possible using out-of-the-box settings.  I would suggest:

   

  1) adding an idea to the "Ideas" section of this site to make it a new out-of-box setting or 

   

  2) manually editing the site.xml or creating a script to make the edit to the site.xml file for you.  The setting is in the site.xml in the Layers > Layer section and the text is ShowMapTips="false" or ShowMapTips="true"

   

  I realize #2 isn't ideal but it would depend on how bad you needed an immediate solution.
