Indicate Which Layers are Time Aware
Hello,
I just started figuring out time sliders for the first time, and I was wondering if there is any way to show which layers are time aware, and maybe have the time slider tool greyed out when no time aware layers are on. It would also be nice to be able to link different sliders to different layers, or better yet to have a dynamic time slider that automatically calculates the exent of all the time aware layers that are on.
I also configured the time slider tool as a toggle button, as instructed in the following forum post, but is there a way to have it show itself as toggled off if a user just wants to hide the time slider and uses the "Hide Timelime" button in the display options of the time slider?

I know this is a lot, and most of it probably isn't possible right now, but at least being able to indicate which layers are time aware would make things a lot easier for users I think.

Hi Denise,
I would recommend adding your suggestions to the "Ideas" section of this site, one idea per post. This will allow other users to comment and up-vote them. UInfortunately a button is not aware of the time slider being closed. You would need custom code to accomplish what you are looking for or a workflow that listens for events and recognizes when the time slider is closed. This is not an ideal solution, the custom code would be the recommended method if you were looking at moving this forward.
