    Hi Don,

Unfortunately, this is not possible.  There is an improvement request filed (GVH-7237) to implement this option but it hasn't been implemented.  The viewer currently blasts out queries for every identifiable layer and the result order is determined by the order ArcGIS responds in.  If you want full control over this function you would need to create a workflow.

    Regards,

Hi Wayne thanks so much for the reply. I see I have some typos in there which probably didnt make my question very concise! What I'm looking to do it re-order the elements within one search result. For instance once you identify a feature and click on it too see the item details. The current order shows 1) desctption / long description 2) item details (fields and attributes which are turned on for display), 3) then finally any related records are shown at the bottom.

I would like to have the related records show second, right after the long description. I also want to keep item details (fields and attributes) displayed. I understand that can be disabled whihc would put related records second, but i need to keep item details turned on.

    Thanks!

Oh right, in that case you change the Desktop.json.js like you mentioned!

The module to update is "FeatureDetails" and the section to re-order is "providers".  After making the change I would make sure you clear the cache or use an InCognito window to run the viewer as that file likes to stay in cache and not get updated right away.

If you still don't have any success I would recommend submitting a support case.

    Regards,

Hi Wayne thanks. I just opened up the viewer incognito and the order is still unchanged. I modified the viewId names for each provider in the FeatureDetails module and the new names are reflected when I inspect the viewer in chromes developer tools.... so i know that the updates to the dsktop.json.js are infact making it to the browser.

Ok thank you again for your reply, I'll go ahead and submit a support case and report back here when we've got it sorted!

    Thanks!

    Hi Don and Wayne,

I'm struggling with the same question. Changing the order of the providers in the desktop.json does not do anything for me as well. I tested in incognito and different browsers.

Did you find a solution in the end?

    Greetings
