workflow control filter fields

Hi,

I am currently working with a custom workflow which will return various features based on different query parameters. The end result is both a featureset which I also turn into a datatable.

In the QueryTask one can specify "Out Fields" which works as when I try to remove a field that isn't specified in the "Out fields" from the Data table it throws an error that the field isn't there.

The issue though, is when the user clicks on a Feature in the results (left column) all of the fields are shown whether part of the "Out Fields" or not. I am attempting to dynamically control this through the workflow (if possible).

Does anyone know if this can be done? There isn't an obvious solution in the workflow builder (Workflow Builder v 4)

Hi Kieren,

When you say "when the user clicks on a Feature in the results (left column) all of the fields are shown whether part of the "Out Fields" or not", are you talking about the results from the workflow? If so, the SelectFeatures activity likely controls what appears there. Maybe you provided a map service id/layer name, so it is getting the field configuration from your site configuration instead defaulting to building it from the dataset.

Or if you're talking about something different, like using a layer filter workflow let us know.

I was, ultimately figured it our with the Select Features component of the workflow as well as controlling through the Layer Definition in ArcGIS.
