Simplify highlight

Hi

 

I was wondering if there was any way of simplify the highlight for selected layers when identifying?  I am facing an issue where when users indentify a complex polygon it occasional fails which I think is due to a timeout when trying to select and highlight the polygon.  Therefore I was hoping that there might be a way to generalise the selection highlight or not even highlight at all.  if it si possible can it be done on an individual layer/service rather than globally?

  Hi Chris,

   

  Sounds like you may be interested in these settings: https://docs.geocortex.com/essentials/gvh/latest/admin-help/Default.htm#gvh/admin/modules/highlight-module.htm

   

  Specifically, towards the bottom of the page, you'll find geometryGeneralization, GeometryGeneralizationEnabled and also thresholdVertices, which control at what complexity level geometry is generalized before being highlighted.

   

  These settings aren't accessible through Manager, so you'll have to find & edit them in the viewer config file (e.g. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\REST Elements\Sites\SITENAME\Viewers\VIEWERNAME\VirtualDirectory\Resources\Config\Default\SHELLNAME.json.js")

   

  This will affect the whole viewer, there isn't any way to configure it at a layer level.
