error applying feature edits to a feature access published layer.

Greetings,

 

Just published a feature access layer to a map service for the purpose of editing a geodatabase file in a geocortex site. I have setup the Create New Features toolbar, have templates, added the ArcGIS Server feature service and have been able to add new geometry to this layer in the application. Howerver, it is not allowing me to save the edit i have made and constantly brings this up: There was an error applying feature edits: Error: Unable to complete operation.

 

Thoughts?

  Could be anything. Did you check the ArcGIS Server logfiles?

  May be a proxy issue, make sure your server is listed in the proxy.config

  Berend and Dan both have great suggestions.  I''ll add one more-

   

  You should be able to see the "applyEdits" web request that's sent to ArcGIS Server if you watch your network traffic (ie, using Fidddler or the browser's dev tools> Network tab) when you save the edits.  You can check whether anything looks off about the request, or test if submitting the same changes using the ArcGIS applyEdits REST endpoint in a browser has the same issue.
