Export to Shapefile only uses Default WKID

Morning,

 

With Essentials v4.8.0.107 and GVH v 2.9.0, we have a default WKID of 102100. But we also have several other projections registered with the site.

 

When I attempt to export to shapefile while using the other projections, these selection are ignored and only the default one projection is used.

  Where is the function for the user to select what the export WKID should be?  This would be awesome to know and I can help you test. I was thinking about this requirement for a tool I need to write. If the module is hidden somewhere I would like to research so I can call it.

  Dylan,

   

  I was testing out the ability to use the 5x different projections we have registered with the site via the "Open and Close Coordinates Widget"

   

  I would be great if the selected projection would be used for any exporting of data from the viewer.

  I got you. Yeah I don't think that controls any functions of tools. Just more of a UX/UI widget.

   

  What you can do and what I have been thinking is all the "export to shapefile" functions say for example from the table/selection view are in the context menu. I was thinking of building a workflow and replacing that default tool with a module that opens and asks the user what projection to use.

  That would be a great workflow to have. My clients work in all 5x site registered projections and the ability to export them to all 5x projections.
