Is there a way to clear (or remove) the graphic layer contents upon Event

We have a workflow that creates (updates) a graphics layer (using UpdateGraphicsLayer) after asking the server with a query.

Users can inspect the layer or create a table, etc.

But we want to clear the map area (remove the contents in the graphicsLayer) after the user's inspection/job.

If it could happen when the user closed the results panel. We are thinking that it would be nice if removing can happen upon event (such as ResultsViewClosedEvent), but don't know how to implement it.

Any suggestion? Thanks.
