Populate Print Template from file

I previously asked how to populate a form but I know understand that was not the correct detail so here we go again. 

 

We are currently using Geocortex Essentials ver 4.8. We are working on a solution where users enter data into a Print Template, the form data is passed to a report writer, and the report is saved to a PDF. We understand how to achieve this.

 

Our primary questions are:

 

1. Does version 4.8 provide functionality where the values entered into the print template and map extent can be saved to a file (txt, csv, json etc)?

 

2. Can that file be retrieved at a later date and the previously entered valves be associated with the correct print template elements and displayed on the screen.

 

The primary objective here is to allow the users to make corrections to an existing report and not be required to repopulate the entire print template from scratch.
