Log into REST when I try to access from Manager - "User cannot access the desired resource"
Hi all
when I try to access the REST URL: from inside manager I get the a log in screen stating the user "Cannot Access the Desired Resource" I click "Sign In" and it works fine.
I believe this is stopping me from running certain workflows etc. I have another site which does not require me to sign in and everything seems to work fine. Has anyone come across this before?

The behavior that you describe is the normal operating behavior for an Essentials rest endpoint to a secured site. If you're fighting with workflow permissions, this ain't the problem. I'd start with a thorough evaluation of your site's permissions for the workflows and your users' role membership: make sure that the problem account is configured to access the resource. 0 -

it turns out it was a permissions issue. The user was able to access the resource.. it was a matter of making access to the site anonymous. It's only accessible internally so not a huge issue, but we'll have to take a look moving forward for any other application that is public facing0
