Auto-expand swatches in Catalog

I can configure the ‘Auto-expand swatches’ in the Viewer > Layer list options of the site but I cannot see similar option in layers added from the associated Catalog. How can I apply the same ‘Auto-expand swatches’ in Catalog layers?
