Failed to save configuration
After updating the home panel content on a viewer in manager, I am getting a "Failed to save configuration." popup when I try to apply my changes or save the site. I can manually encode and update the home panel directly through the desktop.json.js file, but would rather keep it all working in manager. I can't make any changes to the viewer in manager, but can on the site still.
The preview of the home panel content is stuck at a previous view which I assume is somehow the problem. I have tried reloading the site, copying the site and modifying, and each time end up with the same error. Is there a way to clear the viewer cache? The preview.json.js file updates properly so not sure where the home panel content is getting pulled from.

I have the same problem. I am running Essentials 4.13.1 and GVH 4.13.0. 0 -
Hi Marc and Mark,
Clearing the browser cache would be a good first step and see if you can reproduce.
I'm trying to reproduce this issue but have been unable to. Are you able to provide specific reproduction steps starting from a new viewer?
Thanks, Stefan0 -
Hi, For me the issue ended up being that I had tried to put in a base64 image in the home panel via the html code with a src="data:image/png;base64,....." That seemed to corrupt the home panel state. When I changed it to reference a image path, it worked again. Not sure if that applies to Mark's situation though. --Marc 0 -
For me, I'm just making changes to the toolbar: dragging and dropping items, to rearrange their order, and renaming them. I should note that the server I'm working on is very slow but does work. I'm using Internet Explorer 11.1158.17763.0. I tried using Chrome but got an error as soon as I tried to start editing the site in Essentials Mgr. 0
