When I disable cache in the devTool then the time slider launches successfully.  however when the viewer use timeslider.js from disk cache, then time slider is not launching.

It seems like a bug on the new viewer (version 4.12.1.2399).  Anybody experiencing similar behavior?

    Hi Hwa Saup and Halil,

We don't have a specific date for the next release but likely within the first half of 2020.

    Thanks, Stefan

    Hi Stefan,

Just to clarify, is the time slider obsolete in this version of the viewer (as it cant be activated)?

    thanks

    Hi Halil,

The Time Slider can still be enabled through the ActivateTimeSlider command, which is how it is launch from the Toolbar. The existing issue is only specific to the initial loading of the viewer if the time slider is enabled.

    Thanks, Stefan

From what I'm seeing, refreshing the browser will make the time slider re-appear. As mentioned before, we have this issue currently filed and are looking into a fix.

Stefan, Refreshing the browser makes no difference, i've tested it on IE, Firefox and Chrome.

    Hi Halil,

A few questions to help understand the issue you are seeing as it sounds like a different issue:

    1. What versions of the software are you using?

    2. Did you recently upgrade?

    3. Are you able to send me your Desktop.json.js file to check your configuration?

    Thanks, Stefan

    Hi Stefan,

    1. Version 4.12 of Essentials and 4.12.2.of the HTML Viewer

    2. The Essentials install was a new install on the same server where the current "live" version (4.10.3) is.

    3. Sure, this is the desktop.json file that was created from a brand new site, the site includes a time enabled map service within it, and the time slider settings within GE manager are the same as the first image in my previous post. https://easyupload.io/1nwhyf (password is timeslider)

    Stefan,

Just an update, i've recreated the site again and used the toggle button for the time slider and it works as expected.

    https://s5.gifyu.com/images/timeslider.gif

The issue is now related to the site, which was created from GE 4.10.3/GVH 2.11.2, which i have copied  to the new version folder (4.12) and upgraded the viewer from within GE Manager, but the toggle does not work (nor is the time slider button activated).

    Hi Halil,

I'm glad to hear that the original issue doesn't appear with a newly created viewer. We'll take a look at the upgraded viewer scenario that you are seeing.

    Thanks, Stefan

    Hi Halil,

Could you upload the broken Desktop.json.js for comparison?

    Thanks, Stefan
