Selecting a feature from a Graphics Layer in GE 4.11 / GVH 2.12.0

I am looking to add a routine to an existing Geocortex Essentials workflow which would enable a user to upload a shapefile and then select one of the uploaded features for further processing in the workflow. I can get the uploaded shapefile features to populate a Graphics Layer within the GVH map (which is basically the ShapeFileToFeatureSet sample workflow), but how can the user select a particular graphic from that layer. In the ESRI Javascript API 3.x, I can set a listener on the map view to "hit test" any user clicks on the graphics layer, but I'm not seeing an equivalent method or procedure in Workflow or the GVH Viewer commands. Any suggestions or hints for how to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.
