Is there a command that can be called to remove the display form panel?

I have a situation where I have the viewer hosted in a modal, when a user runs a workflow that displays a form it is shown on the the left in the Data-region. The user can close the modal and launch another workflow, which doesn't have a display form, however the previous workflows display form is still active.

 

Is there a way I can reset the data-region to only have the layer-list active? I've found the commands to deactivate/destroy views, but the display form view doesn't have an id which these commands need.
