Could you maybe post a screenshot of this distortion?

    Hi Nathan,

What version of Essentials/HTML5 are you on? Also, I don't see an attachment. We have similar issues, but using Web App Builder, due to the JS API generalizing features by default... but this probably is unrelated.

Hi Ryan We are currently on version 4.10.0.69. And I've tried uploading an image, but it seems to only let me upload by tying in to a web address. Any idea on how a jpg can be uploaded without tying in to a site url?

I do see it in the email I received about a new post to this chat actually @ https://support.geocortex.com/0695x000009RO4b. Not sure why it doesn't show up though in the chat or who can see this. Looks like it was privately shared?

I don't know why we can't just upload an image. Not all of us have public-facing web servers to host images via a url for all to see.

Regardless those features are VERY distorted. Are you selecting them zoomed way out, and then zooming in to see this distortion?

I didn't think it was privately shared, but I could be wrong. I do agree though, it would make things a lot easier if we could just upload images directly. As you stated, we do not have a public facing web server. It appears to distort the feature with any method used to select it. Either by using the global search or zooming in and identifying the feature directly. This is the only feature that we've noticed it does this to.

Here's a link to the attached image: https://support.geocortex.com/0695x000009RO4b

Unfortunately, I have no idea why it shows up like this. It looks like the highlight geometry is generalized too much. Is it a publicly accessible mapservice?

Unfortunately it is not a publicly accessible map service. What stumps me, is why it would highlight the geometry normally adding the map service from within the application itself.

Is your issue the same as this one:

The fix is to increase the thresholdVertices and maxHighlightableGeometryVertices values in your desktop.jason.js files to something like 2000 or 3000 etc.

Steffen, that worked perfectly! We had ours initially set to 5000, and bumped it up to 20000, as recommended in the link you sent. Thanks for sending this over!
