Could not agree more! The majority of the documentation is fairly lack luster at this point. I often find myself reading through it only to have more questions. There are very few activities with any decent examples on them, and if there are its the most basic use case or hard coded values. Its extremely annoying, especially considering the very odd syntax sometimes required to fulfill an input value.

Absolutely. It takes forever to get a single activity working because I can never intuitively work out the syntax. essentials had an example for almost every available activity, as well as downloadable samples like 'complete parcel selection, buffer and report'.

I came to Ideas to post this exact same thing today, May 5th, 2023.   This idea was then suggested to me by the site as I typed. It says it's not planned, which surprises me because the documentation is still not helpful 3 years later.  Finding out that this was suggested so long ago, commented on by two other people, and ignored is maddening.

I add an activity control to the designer interface, hit the help button for the activity and are taken to unhelpful Activity help.  You get a JavaScript definition.  There are no examples and no screenshots for anything.  If you are lucky, there might be a focused example within the latter part of the help in a tutorial.

Get Workflow Inputs Activity is a great example.  Visit the help for that Activity and you are given nothing helpful. It doesn't tell you about inputs or context or anything that a person actually needs to use the activity.  It doesn't even link you to the examples later in the Help.  Every product is like this, Reporting is just the same.

    Please re-consider this idea.
