How to re-display annotations layer of a map service in Geocortex Essentials?
I had annotation layers on a published service that displayed on Geocortex Essentials. One day, out of nowhere, all annotations of that one service discontinued to display. I can't remember performing any change to the map that would cause this. I may have republished the service, but i have done that before and it never caused any annotation problems. I do have other map services displaying in that same viewer that also contain annotation layer but they are continuing to display just fine.
I have read documentation stating that this was a bug prior to the 2.11.0 release, but my viewer is the updated 2.11.2 version. Anybody else experienced similar issue before the release or after that can share a work-around for this?

I am on the latest version - 4.13.1, and also cannot display our annotations.

Hi Sean,
My versions are:
- Essential version – 4.10.2.44
- HTML5 Viewer version – 2.11.2
- Portal/Server version – 10.5.0
ESRI support got back to me and advised i change the "Allow per request modification of layer order and symbology" settings under 'capabilities' settings of my ArcGIS Server service and that fixed the issue.
We are still figuring out why that would effect the annotations as my other services do have that option enabled, yet they display annotation just fine.
hope this may help your case as well.

Very interesting. We are on 10.7.1, but anyways I tried both ways as you mentioned, and for us it is still not working. Thanks though!

@Varun Sidhu? I corresponded with support and this but is fixed in HTML 5 v2.11, that's why you are good, but in v4.13 the bug was reintroduced (which is the version I am on.)
