Is it possible to create a fillable field in the PDF report?
I’ve created a report in Report Designer v4.10.1.61 that is called as a print tempate from a workflow. In the workflow the user adds some text through some form fields and selects a feature that then gets added to the report as a map to aid field crews to the location they need to go to. The report is actually a work request form and on the original form (which was a Word doc) the last section was a response to the request, so we need a fillable field that the person receiving the form fills out with their decision on what action to take.

Hey Michael! For this you will need to configure a workflow to take entries from the user and then pass them to the report. Hi Tegan, I'm not sure about Michael but that's not quite what I was after.
I'm already getting a stack of information from the user in a form and sending it to the report - all working nicely. Sounds like Michael is also doing this.
But there are still some things that need to be filled in by the user or an external customer ( think pensioners and vulnerable communities, people in the field, contractors etc) at a later time before the report is finalised.
Currently we do this in crystal and export to word so that anyone can easily fill in the remaining information. If the customer doesn't have access to a phone or computer, our staff can help them at the counter. Having a PDF with predefined fields to fill OR giving the ability to export to word would serve the purpose.

Exporting to word or having pre-defined fields in the pdf are not currently supported in Reporting. I will definitely forward this suggestion to the product manager though as I can certainly see it being helpful.

Thanks Lauren, you described the situation exactly. We create the report using a workflow that our field team uses to enter information for a work request to the utility, which is exported by the workflow to PDF and a copy is emailed to the utility's supervisor. That person then needs to fill in a blank section on the report to approve the activity so needs to edit the PDF we have sent them. As you have noted, having the ability to include an editable field in the PDF or having a Word document export option would be ideal. Our client is printing and writing on the printed copy to send to their field crew. Not ideal but being able to create the PDF in Geocortex is better than what we used to do.
