Create/customize a splash screen

Is there a way to create/customize a splash screen for GeoCortex applications? This is a standard function available in ArcGIS Online and Enterprise Portal. I would like to set one up for our GeoCortex Apps as well. Is this possible? Where can I find documentation on this subject?

  We implemented a simple custom Workflow recently to make important announcements to users when the start certain Essentials sites. Adding a "Continue" button forces them to read the announcement before proceeding, but you could probably implement a timer to close the panel automatically after set period.

  If you just want to change the default splash screen on startup then you can replace splash-logo.png but if you want to present a customised form then you will need to use a workflow that runs on startup and use "ModalWindowNoCloseButton" for container name.
