Upgrading WF5 on Premise

Dear VertiGIS team,

 

For future prospects, would like to ask what's the procedure for Upgrading your WF5 On premise? Is it a matter of downloading the latest Installation Package and going through the same steps as with the first installation all over again?

 

Any additional steps? Any pitfalls to watch out for to avoid things becoming corrupted?

  No, you're not going through the same steps as with the first installation.

  The installation process will recognize what's already installed and will just take a few minutes to upgrade. Then it'll open the Post-Installation. If you just click "Next", it should be ok !

   

  Be careful to close related Geocortex Workflow tabs and processed before launching the upgrade, and it should be ok :)

  Hi David,

   

  Yes, the process is mainly the same. The workflows that you have created are tied to the data directory location defined, so keeping the previous settings will ensure that you still have access to them after upgrade.

   

  We are working on adding a section to our documentation regarding these questions as well.
