We are getting a similar experience in our office. Clearing out the cache/cookies helped with some, but not all, users.

We are also experiencing this kind of issue. When we click on a feature in a layer configured with map tips, we receive the following error: "The requested operation failed. Try again later, or inform your application administrator of the problem." When we click OK, the pop-up goes away, and yet the pop-up window of feature attributes has successfully popped up in the background. Users can do their work, but this is a strange issue. We, however, are on 4.14, not 4.12.

Follow-up: The related problem I reported is also occurring in Chrome 72.0.3626.119, so now I'm lost as to the nature of the problem. Things were working fine recently and there have been no changes on our end.

    Hello All,

I haven't been able to reproduce this issue when using that version of Chrome with any version of GVH 2.11 and newer but a large number of clients are reporting this issue.

Are there any details that you can provide on the hardware and software of affected machines?

Also, are there any errors or warnings in the Chrome DevTools (F12) console?

    Thanks, Stefan.

Hardware varies we have tested on laptops running Windows 10 Enterprise, and on Azure Remote Desktops with the same results . Also this is not limited to GeoCortex Essestials. We are seeing the same thing with our ArcGIS Enterprise Portal Maps and Apps.

No errors in console. It's like the single "click" action is not recognized. No events are triggered.

The error I'm getting in the console is this:

[error]: 11:33:42.466: Error performing identify operation on service (Url Obfuscated)/MapServer?token=(Token Obfuscated).. Message: Failed to execute query.. Error details: .

except I have hidden the actual URL and token with (Obfuscated) comments. Notice that there is no error detail, and as I said before, the pop-up window does appear with information from the asset.

I fear that my issue is different than the OP's issue and that I have hijacked their thread. I apologize. Please point all further questions and suggestions to the original OP and ignore mine.

My issue ended up being one map service in the site which had one layer whose underlying feature class had become a little corrupted. With that feature class fixed, the service works correctly, as does the site and the viewer. ArcGIS Server logs helped me find the culprit. I have no more to add on this subject.
