Unable to see channel data from "Send Web Request" activity from a server workflow.
I would like to see the channel output from "Send Web Request" from a server workflow. This works if it is in a client workflow. However, if I run a server workflow calling the same "Send Web Request" activity and setting the channel in "Set Workflow Output", I get an error. No error if it is text output from the same "Send Web Request" activity instead of channel output. I need to view the response data in the channel to check for error message and status.

You're right. This isn't quite right. I took a look and our .NET version of "Send Web Request" (used by Workflow Server and Geocortex Mobile) has some discrepancies. It actually ignores the channelName input as well as outputing a string for channel instead of an object. I have logged this bug.

The issue you are describing has been logged as two bugs. The issue numbers are:
- Bug 41297: Send Web Request ignores channelName
- Bug 47525: Send Web Request outputs wrong type for channel
Please feel free to mention them in future communication.
The next release of Workflow will be on Monday. We have a release every two months but I can't say for sure when they will be included.
