Printing 5 template need to work for external map services when GXE was configured to use a forward proxy to connect to external services

I have recently worked on a case that our client recently installed and configure printing 5 (5.7.0). They are able to create print templates, save them to AGOL and share them. They can add them to an HTML5 viewer (4.14.1) (the client uses Geocortex Essentials to add this Printing 5 template to their site). The print template works well for local map services (on the same server). When they attempt to use external map services such as https://services.arcgisonline.com or https://token.slip.wa.gov.au, they get in the log files it has a network error with the following details:

"text": "Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT" (I’ve attached a log file)

The GXE was configured to use a forward proxy to connect to external services.

If using Printing 4, the external map services work fine and show up on the printed map; but Printing 5 does not work for the external map services.

Checked with VertiGIS team and got confirmation that Geocortex Printing does not currently support the use of a forward proxy. So we would like to get this issue resolved in the future for the Printing 5 users who have forward proxy implemented in their organizations.
