I couldn’t figure out why the map that appears by default doesn’t appear in the layer list so that it can be removed when needed

I have been working in Geocortex since 2014. Just I need some help in order to perform the basic steps in VertiGIS to get involved. In a later stage, I may consider the option to register for a training.
I would appreciate if you offer help in this particular issue

In short, the default map is just an esri basemap, once you add the map component, immeidately change the map to one of your own webmaps and you should see most of the other components such as the layer list immediately reflect the content of your webmap.
