Announcing Search 1.0

We're pleased to announce the first release of VertiGIS Studio Search. This impressive reimagining of the GIS search functionality is based on the Full-Text-Search that customers came to know and love in our existing WebOffice product. Drawing on the expertise of the WebOffice team, we have coupled the underlying search engine with a new Search Designer that enables our customers to add powerful search functionality into the apps they build with VertiGIS Studio. 

If you want to get in and test VSS version 1.0, the Search Designer is available as a SaaS offering and can be found at https://apps.vertigisstudio.eu/search/designer/. 

For On-Premise installations the installer is now available on the downloads page at https://apps.vertigisstudio.com/downloads. Follow that link and then navigate to the VertiGIS Studio folder, then to the Search folder. The Search folder contains the installer and instructions for on-premise installations, as well as a sample workflow and instructions for VS Web integration.  The sample workflow and instructions are examples to use to integrate VS Search into a VS Web instance.  Full VS Web integration will be a major feature in a future release. 

Some things to note: 

• You are welcome to take a copy of the workflow and modify to suit your purposes,
• When using the sample workflow the layers in your WebMap must be added as individual URLs matching those in your Search Designer.
  • WebMap layer extensions from AGOL are not supported in the workflow.
  • Tables are also not supported in the Designer at this time.
